In creating this image I was seeking to emulate the style of the Dutch or Flemish old masters. I started with a fairly fungusy transparency from the 1960s and I'm pretty satisfied with the result. I recommend printing on canvas, fine art paper or tapestry.
Frank Is a landscape, nature and wildlife photographer from Tasmania, Australia. He was born in the East End of London and educated at Woolverstone Hall, Suffolk and Dartford Grammar School. He attended the Julian Ashton School of Art in Sydney, Australia and spent 30 years in the advertising industry as a photographer and art director working with some of Australia's most successful agencies. He quit the advertising industry in 2010 to focus on his life as a freelance photographer.
